INSTER GROUP and Mediterráneo Señales Marítimas (MSM) have been awarded with the contract for the beaconing of the River Zaire in Angola for an amount of 10 million dollars.
This project is extremely important for the African country as it will improve the security of navigation, as well as allowing the traffic on night, which will considerably increase the cargo traffic. This will help greatly the economic development of the country.
This is a turnkey project that includes the corresponding bathymetric study, supply of the equipments, installation and commissioning, as well as a training program for the staff responsible of the maintenance.
The latest technologies to the Aids to Navigation and Maritime Security will be applied in the implementation of the project, by using modern Monitoring Systems, AIS and VTS Maritime Traffic Control.
The contract was signed by the Director General of the Maritime and Port Institute of Angola (IMPA) and Mr. Miguel López representing the group INSTER and MSM last 27 of May, and has a delivery period of one year, with the completion of the supply before the end of the year 2011.
This contract is another step forward in the international expansion for which INSTER and MSM are betting together for a year now.
